What would you suggest for beach and land

Hi All,
I have decided to get back into detecting. I used to have a Minelab 2100 V2 for my gold detecting and have since moved on and sold it.
I will be on the road with my trailer and was interested in finding a detector that will work well in dry beach sand as well as dry land.
I don't need a Minelab detector (High End) nor a Bounty Hunter (Low End)

I have been looking into a Garrett 250 ($212 - $297) 6.5 kHz or the NEW Garrett Ace 350 that is coming out in Oct. ($297) I think 8.25 kHz

I'm sure others will chime in on their favorites. I'm all ears.

I have had great luck with the Ace 250. I have used it on the Destin, Fl beaches with great success. Even slightly wet sand. It's light and easy to pack. Also it rides in my work truck everyday waiting for an opportunity to show it's stuff. With the small cash outlay of the Ace machines you don't get worried all the time for theft. Also if it gets some scratches or dirty from riding around it's no big deal. You definitely think differently with a $1500+ machine riding in your camper or front seat. The new Ace 350 can only be better with the new standard DD coil. I still suggest you purchase the Sniper coil at the same time. I have other machines and brands but the Ace gets the nod 90% of the time. That says a lot.

Thank you Kenny for your thoughts. I think I may just wait until the Ace 350 comes out next month. I do like the DD coil as well as the actual design plus the 350 has a few more features than the 250.
I'm think I'm planning to wait for the 350 and I will look into the Sniper coil for those tight spots. and around trees and rocks.

I just read the the Garret Ace 350 may not get released as planned for mid October. I guess if I get that it probably will have to be an early Xmas present.
