What would you like to see?

I REALLY admire the design and functionality of my Elite 2200 MD, however there are four changes I woudl like to see.

1) I would like to see the addition of a mercury switch that, as the unit is swung, periodically makes contact and keeps the unit turned on. If the unit is not moved for some period, say 5 minutes, it would automatically turn off to save the battery.

2) I would like to see the control/display box attached to the top stem with a quick disconnect system so that the cable going to the coil could be unwound and the control/display box mounted to around ones neck for use in deeper water.

3) I would also like to see a different hand grip, one that could be changed when it gets worn. Mine is about 8 months old and is starting to show signs of wear and my guess is that in about two years, the foam grip will be quite ratty.

4) I would like to see a volume control.

Do any of you have suggestions for ways to improve the already excellent BH models?

The hand grip would be covered under your warranty. Many use the stuff tennis rackets handles are covered with for a quick fix. The other mods you mentioned could be done or installed yourself, doing so would void your warranty.

I would like to have a machine that tells me whether the target was heads or tails, thereby eliminating all trash. Or at least tell me what kind of metal I'm standing over. That would keep me from digging any pulltabs.
