Without knowing where (parks, playgrounds, Farmers fields, beach etc) and what you will be hunting for (coins, Jewelry, Relics etc) it is impossible to give you a good answer.

Having said that the X705 can be found for 500 and if it is in good shape don't pass it up. I just got one and I am impressed to say the least.Havent got to spend a lot of time behind it but what little has been good.
I bought it to keep in my truck and as a backup to my CTX. Well I enjoy it so much that I am using it more all the time. No match for the CTX but it will find coins be clad or silver and will do it deep at the same time. Tppk a short hunt this am and dug three wheats two of which was ever bit of 9 inches the other 5 to 6 inches.
Great machine for the money.

As I know why you're asking.........................if you like the operation of the CoinmasterGT, you will more than likely like the MXT or MXT Pro. If you like the way the F2 operates, you will probably like the Fisher F70. Each are more advanced units of the former with more control and depth.
Both are great machines, and it's a matter of personal preference. The XTerra's will be foreign to your other units, from cost to coil selections and learning curve. Same with Tesoro.
Just my thoughts from keeping in the "family" mode.

Try to save more money to buy better metal detector! I bought total 4 times and now I love my Minelab Etrac! If I cant afford over 1000 dollars and I might buy AT Pro. I heard its good and waterproof but you have to digging more to find pull tabs or Nickels!

Really depends what type of Hunting you will be doing friend.There are a few variables to picking a machine.Give us a better Idea of where your hunting,and what your hunting for. Jim T
Well i mostly coin hunt. Lots of trash. I currently have a silver u max, bh sharpshooter 2 and just got a bh platinum. Was right on the edge of a whites coinmaster gt then decided on bh land ranger pro. Yes i guess i should have saved some money and bought a higher end machine. I just wanted to know what you folks with more experience would have done with 4 or 5 hundred if you were going to spend it on a detector.
Just the detectors you learn to like. There is nothing wrong with your choice of the Land Ranger Pro. If depth would be the concern, it detects as deep as every detector I have had. It has more ability to control the ground over most detectors costing twice the price. It is fast in recovery speed. I am finding that the more I use it, the better I like it. And isn't that how it should be? You didn't lose anything choosing it over the CoinGT (except a pound of weight). I traded the CoinGT for my new LRP, thanks to John at JMT Detectors. It is more suited to me for the things "I" like. It comes down to the person. Give it a chance. Detectors don't find coins. People do.
