Im looking for a used detector for $150 or less. I know its not much but all I have right now.
Any good ideas of what brand or type?
Thanks
Brian
PS I will mainly just be looking for coins and rings.

Check out the Prizms, by Whites, or garrett 150 Ace..You could be very surprised how good they produce... Might try for a used Tesoro..but thats a little less than what used go for.

Thanks for the advice. I just bought a Tesoro Compadre on Ebay for $109.00. Now with 0 degree weather I need it to wark up :)
Thanks again
Brian

Hi Beerman3,

I just wanted to let you know that you have made an excellent

purchase. I now have a Euro Sabre, a Eldorado, a Silver Sabre

uMax and a Compadre. I have been using the Compadre most

of the time because it works better than any metal detector I've

used. I've used brands other than Tesoro. But I like Tesoro's better.

A set of Killer B's for $76 and you can stay up with big box guys.

HH,

My Compadre cost $100.

Just goes to show, there

are some good deals still

out there.

HH,

try to locate a used fisher!..excellent trash handling capabilities, and 4 tones too!.maybe difficult to find used,so if you want to,you can buy new for 199.00
best of luck to you!

Has anyone run a side by side comparison of that $151.00 Tesoro Compadre with lifetime warranty up against the $199.00 Fisher F2 with 2 year warranty?

Obvious is the visual ID, but I'd like to see how recovered target results compare.

Brian,I think you're going to like the Compadre. The low price you paid for the used Tesoro you could always recover your money spent or make a couple of bucks.Let us know how it works out.Even though we might disagree on what metal detector to use we all wish you success in your new hobby.

the f2 has a 5 year warranty outta the gate!
