What would be a fair price for a well used Explorer II ?.................

Mint shape like new I would say $850-$1000 and a well used one with some normal scratches and dirt stains as they seem to always get some of that would be in the $750-$900 range depending on how much a person wants one and what other coils or accessorys included.
This is just a estimate from what I have seen them sell for.

I would think even a well used Explorer 11 if not abused using a coil cover and screen cover could clean up real nice. Unfortunately well used can mean beaten up in the woods and bounced around the back of a pickup truck or just used and cared for. I have seen Explorer XS units used for years and properly maintained to clean up very nice..I think Rick gave you some ball park figures and under the circumstances without any further info are applicable. Early Explorers had some cosmetic problems but they were corrected and the Explorer 11 the latest model should last for years and indeed look real nice after years of use if properly maintained and not abused..
