Snagged a couple of gold tickets last night! Got a silver religious pendant says Saint Somebody protect us.

Got several good hits as you can see, couldn't believe it when I pulled up the chain, especially after just talking about them on the forum. I guess you Can find chains when there is something attached to them. huh Alton. WTG HEHEHE

The first gold was a 10k ring, not sure if the diamonds are real, I don't think so. The diamond tester needs a recharge.

Next was the gold chain, I cant' make out the markings on the pendant, there is something on the back I think it says CRSI or GRSI and then LIOK or maybe ORSIL 10K???? Can't really make it out too well. Any Ideas?

Nice hits there. The ring is likely not set with diamonds as you surmise; it doesnt look like it.

After all we have been saying about chains, that chain and pendant serves to affirm all of it, of course. With that big pendant hangin on it, it's sorta hard to miss, eh? Try this.

Take that sucker off of there, go back to the lane and toss the chain back in the surf. Then wait a few minutes and see if you can detect it alone. That should offer some insight.

The silver religious isn't "Saint Somebody," it's Saint Christopher, which means Christ Bearer. Legend says he was a roman soldier who carried a small child across a raging river. As the water got deeper and the child heavier, Christopher risked his own life to save the child. The child then revealed himself to be Christ and baptised Christopher in his name. On the medallion, Christopher is carrying a child on his shoulder.
This legend is why St. Christopher is known as the patron saint of travelers and wayward souls. During the middle ages he was also the patron saint against sudden death. His image was painted on houses for protection, and shrines to him, both large and small, popped up all over medieval Europe.

Pretty elaborate stuff for a guy the Church says never officially existed, as far as they can determine!

The gold religious looks like a Sacred Heart medallion in some ways, and it also has some Orthodox attirbutes, too. The lettering is likely Latin or Greek on the reverse. Can you show us a pic of the reverse?

OUTATIME, that is one nice load of loot, with that big of a clasp you may have found that chain without the pendant. Keep up the good work!! and hope you find a watch soon. HH

Is there a karat stamp on the chain clasp? I am not sure if the medallion is the real deal or not. Have found a couple of religious medallions, that were gold covered, but not throughout. I sent them all in to Midwest, just in case and got a couple losers back. It's hard to say. The ring could be a winner, don't be too sure, unless it tests. Have found diamonds in 10K. Sweet lode man!
