What was your "go to " machines for 2012? What do you like about that machine? What type of hunting was it used for?
I used 3.....

Garrett atpro for shallow water, and wet weather. I love its waterproof design, it works well.
Minelab explorer, for parks and turf, I love its depth and disc accuracy.
T2 LTD, I love the balance, its fast response, and sensitivity to gold. I use it on the freshwater beaches and in the woods for relics.

Awesome! :clapping: I swing the F70 on the land and dry sand for clad and jewelry...it got me two small gold rings, a ton of silver rings and a few silver coins, 5 or 6 maybe...I need 40 more coins to break 10,000 and I'm at 791.87 in clad totals with it for the year so far...I swung a borrowed CZ20 (Mines busted) for the first half of the summer in the water, and it got me a heavy gold Mens ring, and a couple of silver rings, miscellaneous clad...Then I got an ATPro in mid July I think, it got me several silver coins, 5 or 6 again.. a bunch of silver rings, at least 10 or more..and a nice heavy womans 14k with diamonds and a ruby the Wife wears, a heavy mens Plat, a Mens Class ring, (returned) ...
I am in the process of also evaluating my year, and what I'd do differently...I think I'm gonna have Felix fix my CZ over the winter, get a small 5"dd for the F70, and keep the ATPro stock for now.
The F70 is my "go to" unit, quick broom, and the one I understand and have the most hours on.. I REALLY like the Delta Pitch tones, light weight, battery life, power, and versatility. I'll be using it on the sledding hills once we get some snow, and sweeping the dirt until the ground freezes. I also like the ATPro, it uses the same batterys the F70 has, but I need more time on it to get to know it well.. I need to start diving around the lakes up here like Scubadetector and KCDigit do, so thats the plan for the CZ20 for next year. I think I'll not shoot so much clad next year, but by golly its fun!

Ace 250 KILLED the coins and a couple of gold rings. Compadre was awesome in tot lots. Used Silver umax, Tracker IV, and Royal Sabre sparingly.

XP Deus. Fast, lightweight, and pretty deep with the stock coil. Turn on and go machine with the factory programs or allows user to tweak settings and save the programs. Completely wireless with ability to pick 1 of 4 different frequencies. I use it for coin and jewelry hunting mostly but it did fine relic hunting as well.

You've got a nice collection of detectors, each one of them can be a favorite.

One of my many favorites is a Garrett Nugget hunter BFO, gets up close to tot lot poles and such. For an old detector it sure does well a joy to use, built like a Sherman tank.

Congrats on your recent finds,

At Pro, Excalibur II, MXT and most recently CTX3030. My favorite is the AT Pro. Each unit has a different job to do, but the
Pro is the most versatile. Hoping this year it will be the CTX.

Used an f-75, MLSE, and 1021cz3d. My best silver day was with the cz this past year (2012). I'm sure if I was using the other two, I would of had those 8 silvers in my pocket.

I'm particularly fond of the cz, it's deep and easy and good in mid to low trash/iron areas. The 75, great in high trash compared. The SE, fun to use and best id of the three. Depth comparable to the 75 but not quite as deep as the cz.

My Fisher F75 SE put the most gold in my pocket but my new Minelab CTX 3030 was my favorite detector of the past year. New toy syndrome, just had a ball with it.

My 9 yo MXT for jewelry and my new Etrac for coins, the mxt is much hotter on gold but the etrac is much hotter on coins.

Etrac is all I used... the whites classic III is taking a back seat for awhile. Loving the Etrac but looking at getting a X-terra 705 or Fisher F-75 or.... not sure yet, still looking LoL Now I just need some good sites!

I guess the one I used the most is the CTX 3030 and then the XP Deus and in third place would be the GPX 5000 and that detector is only used to relic hunt twice a year. Wish I live near the gold fields or that would be the most used machine.

I found lots of clad, silver and gold with my F2 so always a favorite.
I also found clad, silver and gold with my Compadre, plus my oldest coin so far so also a favorite.

Don't make me decide.
