What type of signal goes to the Headphones?

Infamy

New member
Hi,

Great too see a new Infinium site, had enough of Phil on the other site be unhelpful, gripe over.

What I'm trying to find out is the nature of the signal that goes to the headphones, as I'm going to hook it up to a datalogger.

1) Is the signal analogue or digital?
2) Is it AC or DC, thats the signal that goes to the headphones not the power supply?

Side issue is any one making larger coils than what is currently available? I know 'Wirechief' was looking at it, any news?

I'm amazed Garrett did not get the message years ago, they would have sold more of this type of detector if they had.
