Can OR does ANYbody know what this is ? It has a 1/2 in hole in the bottom and it looks like it is filled with lead.weights maybe 5 lbs. and it about 7 inches long . Could it be a civil war ganade ?
 
That thing is like 3 3/4" in diameter, making it about 40mm...Be careful of the stuff in the whole...It could be phosphorus, and burn you...
To long to be a modern 40mm grenade round...Did the millitary have a 40mm round??? The Brittish made 37 and 40mm tank rounds...
