Are you a coinshooter, relic hunter, gold prospector, or a do it all?
I'm a coinshooter. That's my calling. What about you?

Mostly coinshooting just because that about all I can do no civil war sites around, but I will look for anything. Howard

I hunt for anything that hits the ground. I spent one day walking the parking lots ( to muddy to detect) at the mall found about 158 in clad .but you never know

I enjoy hours swinging for clad, and when the water temps start rising above the 45 degrees, I move into the shallows, by early summer the tanks go on and I disappear beneath the waves.

Gold detecting is my first love but coin shooting is a close second.

well sir, i look for just about anything old...it's hard to be a coinshooter and not find at least the occasional relic! i spent the first 15 years or so in this hobby as a coinshooter, then i moved to central virginia and became a relic hunter almost by default. i still occasionally find old silver and coppers, but not like i used to. all ground is good ground to me.
i'm not a fan of clad hunting, usually leaving it in the ground for someone 50 years from now to find. if there was gold in these parts, i'd be hunting that too. hh!

A CW relic hunter for most of the year and when it starts to get too hot (real soon now), with lots of ticks and snakes, I take to hunting church playgrounds for coins/jewelry to stay in practice. That's not to say I don't love to find old coins when relic hunting. I found my oldest coin recently, while looking for a CW campsite. I found an 1860 IH.

I especially like finding silver coins older than I am ( I'm 63 ) , nice rings and jewelry , cool little cars for my Grandkids , old skeleton keys , badges , buttons and whatever . My dream is to find a gold coin of any demomination , from any country wether it's by itself or as part of a jewelry piece . I prefer to hunt soft dirt and sand but most of the time it's just hard old ground or an occassional tot lot.

H H ,
George

I am a coinshooter. I really like finding old silver (who does not?). I also like finding rings and other jewelery.

I would like to try my hand at relic hunting someday, Beale.

Just about anything old interests me , my passion is relics, but

though .

Reckon I am a coinshooter as that is mostly what I find. Even when I find a penny I think of it as one more than I had before. I just like to find things.
