I'm just curious if anybody has a way of getting more for all the no-special wheaties you find ?

The smiles on the Grandkids faces is worth far more than the couple of cents they would bring at the coin store......:)

I just clean them up and save them.
I have some storage containers that I have them seperated by dates.
I just keep them since they are not made anymore... not worth much, so I figured I would just keep them.

Wheat Pennies are bought by the coin stores for 1.2 CENTS literally. Unless they are in Fine to mint condition with few exceptions they are worh NOTHING. !!!

I made a toy car out of a bunch of them and gave it to my nephew. Pennies Nothing, A Kids Smile. PRICELESS. !!!!!

PEACE:RONB

Save 'em!----The wife & I have got jars of them that we have recovered with metal detectors over the years.----We always clean them & seperate them by different age groups.-----Most of them are not worth much but they are special (at least to us) as they are no longer minted.-----I guess the kids & grandkids can fight over them some day when we're gone. :)------------Del

i give all mine to the wife......i call it "wheaties for my sweety" hey it makes her smile even though she could care less ...just makes her happy i think about her and it only costs me pennies.....

I just love em cause they remind me of this Country's better days.
I love em to Terra (and the silver).------Some of them didn't come thru our great countries better days though.----There were certain points in which we didn't know what the future of our country was going to be (for sure).---Example being some of the dark days of WWII, but we had The Lord on our side during that time & when those years coins were being minted!--------In any case---I look at them as being little pieces of U.S. history.-----------Del
