What to do? Posted on the PI forum. Should I fix my older Whites PI for $245 or sell it for parts.

They are going to replace the pots, board, and case. It will then have a one year old weighted coil and the guts and case will be new. Basically a new machine. Do I fix it and can I recoup my $245 if I sell it. I already own a DF and an Excal. I do not want 3 water machines.

Either sell it for parts or fix it and sell it on ebay for like double the cost to fix

i guess you just need to ask your self: humm do i fix this or spend more monies on a brand new machine, which do i really really want to do??humm i just dont know??
ok now youve asked yourself these questions, are your pockets nice and full were you can just pick up the phone and order a new detector at will? or is it that your affraid to ask your wife if you can spend the monies??lol..ok a bit extreem ..lol..ok you just gotta decide for your self..do you like this machine? why did it break? honestly? we cant decide for you on this one??

Keep an eye out on the forums and ebay and watch the sale prices, then work out what it cost you and what it will cost to repair, if there is a difference you have the answer, either way(dont forget to add the postage to and from the repair shop/whites )and also ebay costs
