what the heck kind of ring is this??

Help...

my partner found a ring on top of the ground in the park over the weekend while we were metal detecting..we don't know what it is made of....it's silver color with a (fake) diamond solitaire......it has NO writing in it...no 936 sterling, no 14kt,etc.....anyone know what marks are on a platinum ring? i can't bend it with my fingers so its not aluminum...what could it be made of?

im assuming its fake...tho it is nice and fits on my ring finger...lol

i found a dime within 30 seconds on the sand playground...found about 15 cents then her Eldorado broke down so i let her use my ACE...that's when SHE found all the cool stuff out on the soccer field...she found two darts buried also....we took turns and then right when she took it back from me, there is the ring on top of the grass right in front of her.

i generally find more stuff looking on top of the ground than i do with the metal detector...especially on club hunts up north when i just give up detecting due to hot rocks when the ACE 250 becomes useless...nothing to do but hunt around visually...i've found some cool stuff in these old railroad camps, etc....

anyway anyone have any guesses on the type of ring this could be?

The ring sounds like it could be stainless steel or titanium... depending on the weight (titanium will be lighter).

As far as resizing photos goes, somebody else will have to help, because I'm on a Mac.
I do know that you can do it in MS Paint though, using the 'scale' function... just scale both dimensions equally (down) and then save it as a jpeg. Somebody else will probably have a better suggestion though.

the round, black thing behind the ring is a magnet so i could get it to stand up....there was a little magnetic pull to the ring if that means anything...
