Mascard1 met up with me at a park I picked this time. And he tells me he the Explorer boys have found some silver coinage at the smaller older park just across the street. "Have they now?" I ask.
I know these guys. I know their techniques. Sure the silver is gone and if anymore lies there it's way beyond the reach of my Tesoros. Mascard brought me his new used 10x12 Tesoro that he just bought off one of you guys and lets me use it with my Bandido 2 uMax. Sweet! Always a joy to try something different.
So off we go across the street to the other park. I, with the Bandido and Steve with his mighty and powerful FBS technology driven Explorer SE. Good thing it wasn't a river we had to cross. (To be honest the 10x12 Tesoro
coil does make my Bandido way too nose heavy and forced me to shorten my shaft quite a bit.)
Okay! First pic is what I found today. 2nd pic is a key ring that was about 4 inches buried. Strong signal so it was ignored by the explorer users who wont waste their time digging anything that isn't faint, Notice the gold plated horsey ring that's attached to the keyring. 3rd and 4th pic is another lost key ring. I first dug up the Mason fob. Thinking it was a medal at first I rechecked the hole and found the pocket knife and a car key so rusted it fell to pieces in my fingers. That's when I figured the Mason medal was a key ring's fob. I didn't know what kind of a fob it was till I got home and cleaned it up. See the snake wrapped around the branch on the knife? Mason! The other pics are of a old ring with a red stone. a soccer pin and a bracelet.
So there we are. I didn't find one quarter today. I guess those were snagged by the others. But that ring on the key ring could have been just as easy a gold ring. And that knife and fob were pretty deep and judging from the keys condition it has to be old.
