What sold me on the AT PRO

Saw the demo in the salt water and beaches that perked up my interest.
Will be going down to the hot climate in March to do some beach/water detecting.
Another good feature that had been missing on the Garrett was a VDI readout.
I use signal sounds and above all else VDI numbers in my detecting.
I had owned an ACE 250 and the two coils that Garretts made for it but traded it for some other brand unit.
Will be opening it for Christmas as it should arrive around then.
Really looking forward to using the new AT PRO from all the good postings that the members have given, many thanks for the unbiased information.

Unit rocks, Dont let the whiners spoil it for you. Do your own tests in the field. The Pro is a coin finder in every way. I suggest you write down what scenarios you want it to work. (quarters only) (what mode) etc
gold vid, silver vid and learn the tones. You will like it.

I had rotator cuff surgery a few years ago and still have a problem swinging a five pound detector. At the same time none of the lighter weight machines that I looked at gave me as much target information as what I already had. The AT's digital readout still doesnt but the way the audio is set up makes it a no brainer.

been wanting to upgrade from my Bounty Hunter SS II for awhile ( a good machine but without the above factors)

Ordered ATpro on Wednesday night the 15th - IT's in TRANSIT! Big Brown delivering on Tuesday 21st
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
Ground frozen solid here in NJ - even tried plaground mulch yesterday NADA!
So, until a thaw or spring, it's off to the Jersey Shore, I don't care how freaking cold it is

Seems like a good deal for such a capable metal detector (comparatively speaking of course)
