What settings or program would you use?

I've got a freshwater swimming area with a large amount of nails and other iron hardware in the cool water. Just curious which program or settings would you use to start with in a location such as this?

Previously I've used an excal here trying to work through the nulls and had some success, hoping the 3030 will excel here.

Hi Cliff
What I used in a freshwater place similar to this was fast on, deep on, high trash, sens auto plus 3, combined mode, disc bottom row. The water made me go slow which was good. I was up to my chest and the only thing that stopped me from digging more than I did was deep targets my aluminum scoop couldn't get to because of the clay. And even though I had deep on, I had to turn both my volume and my gain way up in order to hear on my waterproof grey ghosts. I heard well enough but really wanted not to miss the deep signals. Turns out ill have to try again next summer anyhow now that I have a proper scoop.
This is what I used from what I recall. I didn't try and disc out the junk because I dig it all in water anyhow and the combined mode made it actually kind of enjoyable. I also may try the ferrous coin separation mode as well as I think that might work better on silver? Not sure but since I dig it all anyhow :) why not eh. And bug spray. I forgot about Ontario horseflies.

Use those setting don't be afraid to slide goggles on and go after the target!!

Thanks Bob, I'll give them a try and hopefully have something worth posting tonight.... and I have had to deal with those horseflies up there.... they even bite through denim!
