Well what does Fisher have in store for us next?
I'm looking for a light weight Underwater detector something like the Omega 8000, G2 or Gold Bug design something that was maybe P.I. style and submersible to 250 feet.

What about with 4 led lights that light up different colours for the different metals, maybe Red for Iron, Yellow for Gold, Orange for Silver, Green for Magnetic Black Sand or whatever colors

Maybe it can have detachable headphones and exchangeable coils. Make it simple don't need to be that fancy maybe manual or ground grab Ground Balance down to salt good for wet or dry Salt beaches or heavy mineralized grounds. and a easy pinpoint mode and sensitivity and volume adjustment just some of the things needed. Something like a older 1265 or 1266 on steroids!

What's your new detector going to look like what you looking for in a New Fisher design?

Making an uneducated observation from reading lots of the forums ...People want: lightweight, semi waterproof, simple, mid price, coil options, AA's.
For me, a waterproof F70 with Fresh/Salt capabilities would be killer.

Partial quote......... 4 led lights that light up different colours for the different metals, maybe Red for Iron, Yellow for Gold, Orange for Silver, Green for Magnetic Black Sand or whatever colors

LOL..If you check a different forum........... this operation you ask for is here.... A little different light configuration but close enough..

i don't give two "shakes" what it is,as
long as it is designed to compete against the
e-trac!.with a more reasonable price tag!.dave j, and
crew can do this!..just sayin'

I am quite content with my F75 ltd. Just cant imagine anything new being much better, just more expensive.

Now that would be neat, something like the Nokta Gold King or the OKM detectors with computers screens and ground penetrating radar. What about if they gave a signature on the screen telling the frequency readout of each object, I know Gold NMR frequency reads out around 1.729 MHZ, other metals have a signature at a different frequency. If each item was analyzed by a processor in the control of the detector along with a broadband search coil, each items NMR frequency could be read and displayed on the control box meter showing that frequency almost like a fingerprint of each object. I'm sure each coins metal have different frequencies in which they would display that frequency on the screen. You could incorporate the VDI numbers and different pitch sounds as well as have the frequency readout. I'm sure with a chart anyone could figure out what Item is under the coil with this frequency signature. It may produce 2 or more frequency if good items are mixed with junk items at least you could take the positive sounds and VDI along with he frequency readout of all items to determine weather to dig or not.
Just passing some wind here....but who knows what will be the next big thing, technology changes every ten years or sooner so we are not far off from some new major changes. I know we are limited to laws of physics and so on but look what's happened to computers since they came out. Is this field any different, someone sitting back at his desk someday picking his nose will get a "brain fart" and we will see the next generation of detectors, something we all will want and maybe 1st Texas will be the ones that have that " Brain Fart"!!
