What purpose for frequency settings on ATPRO????

I've read in my manual about the ability to change the frequencies on the PRO. Apparently 4 small changes can be made. What is the factory setting and when should it be changed and will it affect performance in any way?

These small freq. are used mainly to avoid interference with another AT Pro or other md in the area. They can also help with EMI

You are correct. If you've ever been to a competition hunt with 100 other detectorists in a 200' x 200' square, you will appreciate that feature!! The crosstalk can be maddening!!

On this forum or the Garrett forum, someone posted the Frequencies...I think the default is F1, and it is the highest frquency...F4 is the lowest frequency...The small difference between low and high should have very little effect on performance...

HH,

Like mentioned above it's a big help when two AT-Pros hunt together. I've hunted in handshaking distance with my partner with no crosstalk. Also been able to hunt under power lines that have defeated others by switching channels.
