What price a 250?

New member
Im flying over to LA from the UK and will travel up to SF. Are there any reliable shops along the way that will sell me a 250 at a low low low price?

Don't buy new outside the UK you will have problems with any warranty claims back here.

Best buy and service is Regtons Birmingham.

Here is where I got mine (and my brother also) in Cali. Best deal I could find. Go to www.d e t e c t i o n.com. No spaces, you have to do that or it won't show on this site.

You get to pick some free gifts also. $212 not including tax.

Ok: what about reliability? I am new to detecting. Do machines go wrong often? especially the 250?

Works out about

To my knowledge they are not in a habit of going wrong.
We've only had them 6 and 7 months, but I'm sure the guys who've had them longer will back me up.

It's up to yourself whether you decide on good warranty or otherwise. As I've said before I know of many instances where folks have bought a car in Ireland or in Belgium and when it came to a warranty job they couldn't get it done in UK. That doesn't really matter much if it's just a small repair, but if it goes pear shaped then it can lead to a headache.

The choice is yours to make, bearing in mind you probably would have to pay duty on it bringing it back home. Best wishes and HH. anyway.

Ps. I'm not trying to put you down, just lifes experiences.

They are virtually trouble free. I've had mine for over a year and never a problem. I think most users will back that up.
