What point and shoot cameras are good for close up?

I have asked this question before and not received a response. Is there a p & s camera that can make quality macro (close up).
Thanks

John

... I also use a lighted desk magnifier sometimes. Shot through the magnifier lens, you get an nice close up.

Yes there are some great ones.
If you want to go cheap an older Sony Mavica FD92 have an excellent close up macro mode. They are idiot proof, point and shoot now selling on ebay for under $30.00
if you keep an eye out.

I used one for 6 years for ebay.

Now there is another mini Sony Cybershot DSC-S780 that is fantastic for macro shots, easy point and shoot and also fairly cheap bought used on ebay.
$35-75.00 This is my main camera for ebay and macro shots, plus it has a large LCD screen for aging eyes.

Below is an unedited, just cropped for size, picture quickly taken
