What photo editing software are you using and do you like it? .............

I have been using Corel PaintShop Pro X4 and have always wondered if anyone else used it too. Kelley (Texas) :)

Currently, using Photoshop Elements 10 and Photoshop CS4. I find Elements 10 does about 90% or more of what I need, editing photos, compared to CS4, so use Elements 10 about 90% of the time, however, Elements 10 doesn't support Raw photos on my Sony RX100 camera. I need to upgrade to Elements 11 to be able to edited Raw photos for this camera.

If you had to do it over again, would this software still be your choice? I am curious why folks use the software that they do. I have been tempted to go to the new Lightroom 5 software because a few friends have recommended it, but I know little about it at this time. Kelley (Texas) :)

I probably will upgrade to Elements 11 as Elements is the program I started with (free with scanner) and it's what I'm use to using (too old to start learning another program )

I would upgrade to Lightroom but my older computer won't support it. I get my daughter's hand me downs, as she gets a new one every 2 or 3 years. The one she has now, will support Lightroom and I keep telling her she needs a new, latest and greatest computer. :heh:

About a year ago, I spotted an old tripod in the closet in his office. It looked like it had been there for a long time, and I asked him why it was there and not being used. He gave it to me! Someone gave it to him and he never used it. By the way, he uses Light Room 5 and loves it. I suspect it has a miserable learning curve, and that alone makes me wonder if I should just hold the fort down with my Corel PaintShop Pro X4. Kelley (Texas) :)

The only editting I usually do is size reduction to fit the forum using Paint, hence why my photos when clicked are not all the same size. But I do have CDs that have come with my cameras that have photo editting software. Its basic, but sometimes fun to mess with. None are installed on my new PC though.
