What one feature on the X70(most important to you) was...

missing on the X50, that would compel you to buy the X70?

Since all of the extras have raised my eyebrows, I have to say the number one feature for me would be the ability to use all 3 coils on the 70 with the extra depth I suspect the 3 KHz coil will bring into my hot dirt sites.
The auto tracking would be my 2nd. choice depending on how well it handles tough ground that tends to make you keep up with the manual GB on the 50.
The site I hunted last Saturday with the 50 would change every few yards from as low as 4 on up to 15 in some cases, but the 50 held it's own and performed admirably still.
We'll see :)

because the 70 offers exactly what I wanted that the 50 didn't have. I'm like a lot of others out there in that I have always had an Explorer XS and then II since they came out so there was unavoidable comparisons between the X-Terra and the Explorer in my mind. My biggest likes and dislikes about the 50 was how it differed from the Explorer. I liked the weight and speed but missed the additional, and what I consider important, features that weren't on the XT-50. So with the 70 and it's 3 way GB options, full choice of tone settings, additional ferrous and non-ferrous resolution, slight ly increased depth, and adjustable threshold, it's actually a viable lighter weight faster alternative to the Explorer on all but highly mineralized wet salt. So MY answer in a nutshell is ALL the additional features on the 70 are required in my mind and hence equally important.
