What... nobody missed me yesterday?... guess I'm gonna have to get a life alert...

We had an ice storm night before last, lost power for a day and 2 nights... no fun. If you lose power for more than 20 minutes, it gets to be a real hassle. I was having computer withdrawals.

This is some of the damage on our property, mostly cedars that were so caked with ice, the limbs snapped off.

Nothing as bad as what Bob posted on the ice storm they had but it'll take me 2 days to clean this mess up

In the last photo below it was so cold that this buzzard must have frozen the instant he landed. He was there like that for 6 hours before he was able to defrost. :lol:

Would you consider a stand by gen. set, or do you like roughing it at times?
 
It was to windy for the ice to stick on the trees and power lines so it formed these BB sized pellets that hurt like #ell when they hit your face. Kids will have a great time sliding on this stuff this weekend!
