Just out of pure bordem, I went to 9 different treasure forums and ebay, looked under metal detectors for sale, past 30 days to present, and noticed every model Tesoro has ever made...Guess what, not one Bandido to be found...I wonder why...:thumbup:

Hey Will,

They are out there for sale (orig./ first model) in the classifieds every now and then, bought mine 11 years ago, N.O.S. still in the box with papers from a small, independent Tesoro dealer.

Even got a free demonstration and gained a friend and hunting buddy, priceless.

PS: If you can find the Bandido ll which looks the same but has an extra toggle switch for normal/auto all-metal.......... they are excellent in the iron nails too. The one tabman has (ll
 
Actually I have been following them and there has been some nice minty ones on feebay and elsewhere they went for top buck and real fast sold, as fast as they were put up.I just snagged one and lucked out that I got it.
 
I used to have a Bandido II big box. It was a good machine, sans the 3 9volt batteries (that got expensive). Sensitive on small targets and low conductors. It sure loved buffalo nickels and bullets.
