What mode and settings are you guy using for water detecting?

I always run mine in PRO Zero Mode and sens at about two bars below top

Like Barry, I run Pro zero mode 40 disc. sens two bars from top, iron audio off..it has NO problem hitting deep nickels and is stable and does not false on the sand ripples with the sens set there, the dang thing hits small rings and gold of all sorts, will not miss a silver ring or coin either...good luck

Pretty much the same as land....with/without iron audio on. Sometimes I decrease the sensitivity down a down a notch or two to decrease the chatter.

On the AT-Gold i run mine at disc.1, iron @ 30 and 7/8 sens. And sometimes all metal when slim pickings with same setting as disc. 1

Again, for freshwater, same as if you were on dry land. For salt water, ground balance frequently; usually 90ish for dry white sand, 15ish for wet sand. Expect chatter in the wet sand.
