Headed out this afternoon for a couple of hours. Got a nice batch of coins, an a mystery contained on a water proofed piece of paper, stuffed in a silver locket? I hope that I am not cursed for opening it.:surprised:

I also found this 1972 one cent coin from Malta. I had some spare time so I forged it into a coin-ring.

Here is the silver locket I dug up, after I removed the mysterious writings. Could this bring me millions? Predict the end of the world? Hell if I know:shrug: Below is the mysterious note. Any guesses to what it might be????
 
It has a Persian calligraphy look to it.
 
Neat find on the locked, John. I found a heart shaped one here in Tn some years ago that had a Washington state area code and telephone number written on the paper inside. Tried the number, but it was no longer in service. Like that coin ring, too. HH jim tn
 
Wow....that is different....was doing a few comparisons (alphabet)

What is written in the. Lower right of your photo in larger writing....does not appear to be
Arabic.......or Hebrew.......i do not know other than that ......reallllllllly. Odd find...
Perhaps a prayer of some sort??
Im stumped.....
Cool thing to dig up though! Maybe someone with. Some foreign language knowledge.

Have to give credit to mrwilburino on another forum. He shared that it was an Islamic amulet called a taweez. Prayers for good luck and to ward off evil spirits..
 
I bought my daughter a nice silver heart locket on her high school graduation several years back. That phone number is a good idea.
