What kind of rock is it?

Here is a pice of metal or rock, I found with my detector.Looks burnt, and It,s non magnetic, and very heavy for it,s size.If you know what it might be please let me know.

Looks and describes like lead. Is it soft enough to scratch it with your fingernail?

Did you clean it before the picture was taken? If so, did it have white oxidation on it before cleaning? That would be indicative of lead and if you can cut a sliver off with a pocket knife, that would just about confirm it. I think Floyd is probably correct.

I had a piece liek this and it turned out to be 75% Chromium biproduct from a manufacturing process... the only way I knew excatly 75%... met a lady at a mineral show, she just happed to work at a testing lab and used one of their anylizers.... alll for free!. Thats a good hearted person!. Good luck, Mike
