What kind of gloves??

I have never used gloves when retrieving finds before. Seen many videos of detectorist using them. Looking to try a pair, but would like some imput on what kind to get.
Must be flexible and not bulky...Any suggestions?.

Any gloves will do the job. But I prefer a pair that will allow me to make detector adjustments without removing them. So I have a pair that fits snug, has a layer of rubber that covers the palm and bottom of fingers and fingertips. And most important to me, is that the glove itself will let your skin breathe. Waterproof or water resistant is ok, but in the summer they can be brutally hot and your hands will sweat, so I went with a glove fabric that stretches and allows air through the top of my hands. They are called Atlas Therma Fit. I think the XL is the glove size. Like any gloves they won't last forever but they are the best I have found so far.

Ralph in Albany NY, I have been using thin goat skin gloves for about four years and usually get about a year out
of them as long as you do not get them soak in water they are very flexible and easy to pick up small things with them. Also they are quite tough and about 12 bucks a pair but I would never detect without them. Even in farm fields I have found razor blades needles glass etc. and I am sure glad to wear them. Good Luck Ezra.

I use the same ones pictured above. They have always been the best for me in many different applications besides MDing. Plus they are cheap and most stores carry the same kind of fabric gloves with the rubber coating on the bottom.

I use the neoprene angling gloves. They have a thumb and forefinger which fold back at the top joint onto velcro to make it easier to pick things up. I buy them at a discount supermarket when on offer and cost

I got a pair of leather work gloves at harbor freight for like 8 bucks and they fit snug and are pretty durable. They lasted about a year and a half and I finally retired them last fall. I will be getting another pair in the spring.

From my experience best gloves is cut resistant like showa 541, they are more expensive but last forever. Tried cheaper version cut resistant gloves but was disapointed.

I use a medical throwaway glove on the left hand for sifting the hole dirt and no glove on the right hand as it it just used for controlling the detector.
