Hello all,

I found this in the front yard of a house built around 1911. Any ideas what kind it is and how old? Thanks and HH, Rod

Find quite a few of these when hunting Myrtle Beach. Years ago,WW II the military did exercises off the beaches here.Last week I dug a 20 MM brass and 3- 50 cal bullets..
 
Yeah, I'm not sure how this one got here. It was in the middle of a front yard of an old house here in Lomita, CA miles from any kind of military base.
 
A BIG ONE! I agree with the assessment that it looks like a .50 cal military bullet.
