What its all about

A few days ago I found a ladies watch with three rings attached. Nice rings two gold with diamonds and a silver one. It was my second best find for one day. Well to make a good story better I found the owner a young lady who didn't look like she had alot and said she had lost all her jewelry within one week. On separate picnics. It felt better to return it than it did to find it. Metal detecting is a good hobby in ways you never expect when you get your first one. Later all and good hunting

Great to hear your story, Carneygeorge. Has to make you feel pretty good.

Hope I have the same opportunity some day.

Congratulations, carneygeorge
I bought a GTP 1350 last June and went to a local inland beach and within 3 hours a young lady ask me to help her find her lost diamond. Within 5 minutes we found it and I was a hero. I felt I was justified for spending my money on the 1350.

The feeling of satisfaction you get is incredible from returning a lost item, but in this case, she was wearing a bikini.....threw her arms around me and gave me a big kiss! :cheekkiss:

Returning lost valuables to folks is the ultimate reward in this hobby. I've had the pleasure more than once.

I'm sure the lady will always remember your honesty and kind nest for the rest of her life...

Man, i have had that good feeling lately of returning a found item. The local eye doctor lost a tennis bracelet about 2 months ago and i was contacted to try to find it. It was in a very large field with very little junk, so i put on the large coil and within about 20 minutes i found it in some tall grass. She was attending a cross country race as a spectator, and it fell off her arm. I figured with the large diamonds and the gold in the bracelet it had to be worth about 7 or eight thousand dollars. Her husband added a large diamond on every anniversary and it had several. Need less to say she and her husband were estatic, and i was too. I expected nothing in return, but she is giving me and significant other new glasses. I really felt good about finding it and returning it. This is such a great hobby. Jery
