yea, that tire gauge is awesome, when I saw it, I though it was a stamped shell casing, I wish I could find one of those beauties!!!:detecting:

Who knows what is the oldest? I have found iron swing arms for a fire place in an early log cabin. Lots of square nails. I have found an old silver lapis ring in the wood beside an old home from the 1800's. Here is a 69 cal. bullet from early civil war.

The oldest relic I have found is this Civil War Dog Tag.

I just found a car key that looks eerily similar to a key I had for my 1990 Toyota Camry. Besides some change from the 60's, this is my oldest artifact! I'll post a picture if you would like.

Actually, I have a small collection of old-school pull tabs. There are two parks nearby where I pull more of those than the new style.

I found a piece of granite in a local farmer's field that a geologist dated to between 2.1 and 2.2 billion years old. Insert Uncle Willy joke here, if interested. Sorry Bill.
