What is your "goto" Mode and Tone ID for coins in parks?

What is your "goto" Mode and Tone ID for coins in parks? I've been trying to gain confidence in the Ferrous-Coin & Combined Tone. I'm confused with the silent "good" numbers... Where have you settled in at with your CTX settings to where you feel most confident that you know what you are going to dig?

For me I use what you mentioned, with very very little discrimination. In the past couple years I have done very well with it, I also have other modes set up with the same minimal discrimination for high trash, low thrash, ground coin, 50 tone to cross check, pretty much just for fun since I can end up spending more time analyzing an iffy signal than just digging it up.

Sube had some good videos regarding analyzing iffy signals, using the vdi.

I use combined ferrous most of the time with little discrimination. I like hearing the iron that I have set on very low tone. If I get tired of listening to it I can disc it out with the push of one button. If I think there is quite of bit of iron or trash here and targets might be masked I can switch to a fast program with one push of the personal button. I wish the CTX had a volume adjustment for each bin. Maybe someday. But the combined mode is very good in my opinion and that is what I use almost all the time.

90% of the time I use the stock silver program with the high trash discrimination. Works really well for me.

I use a pattern similar to Gonehunting's and the old Andy Sabisch E-Trac pattern with 50-tone CO; fast on, deep off, high trash. My secondary program is ferrous-coin combine. In rough soil where I get less than 17 semi-auto sensativity, I use a ground-coin combine with salt water mode. Different modes for different sites.

I run my machine pretty much the same as Bryan - high trash with Andy S. discrimination if there is a lot of modern trash in the area and combined if there is a lot of iron in the ground. I also jump back and forth to double check signals. I rely on trying to pick out the quieter, deeper sounds by running volume gain at 17.

Can somebody direct me to the Gone Huntings mode. I did a search and I come up with nothing. Thanks in advance.

Dwayne,

I think you can download gonehunting's settings here, you can google them, that's what I did, so in case this don't work try that.
