what is up with kodak easy share?

hello all, i recently took several digital photos on my wife's new camera - it's a lot better than our old one - and now i'm having a lot of trouble moving them over into my documents from photobucket. i put them in photobucket to size and edit the photos to meet the size requirements on here. i know that kodak easy share is a program within itself, but i feel my photos are being held hostage! is easy share THAT proprietary? you can believe me when i tell you, i will never use easyshare again, and will have it removed from my pc. any help in this matter would be appreciated, and thanks in advance. seems it should be called "not so easily shared!" hh,

I am having the same problem. Easy share sucks.

I am having the same problem with easy share. I don't much like it and it has always been a pain in the neck. I go on the picture I want to size so I can put it on findmall and hit save as I use "A" added to the number that Kodak assigns to the picture, usually save at 50%. I look at my computer, shared documents, shared pictures, Kodak, and go to the date and see the "A"s that are there to be put on findmall. I only use easy share because I have the printer which is a pain in the neck also. When I get another camera I will get some other brand with the printer. I should not complain though I have taken 1000's of pictures with the camera and printed up many a picture with the little printer. Hope this helps?? Jer

I have a Kodak easy share too, I went into the menu and set the size to 1.1 and when I take a photo of the items I found I take it from a distance, then after I down (or up) load it into the computer I go to the photo and crop it so just the item is showing and that brings the item up closer and reduces the size and helps it fit to put it on here. It does take a while to go through and crop each photo to make it fit but it is the only way I know to reduce it.

I stop using Kodak and picked up ACDsee photo manager. ACDsee also crops, resize, auto correct, and more, it makes it easy to configure photos for the forum. I bought a new computer, with Vista, and there is an import feature with Windows, works good.

Don't install Kodak programs.

They mess up everything.

Just uninstall and everything will be OK.

Happy Hunting,
