What is too small for a detector to find?

Realistically if I'm hunting for a place to pan for gold and using the detector to find a spot. How sensitive does is need to be?
What min. size should it be capable of finding .1 gram nugget or smaller, how small?

Well a detector does not necessarily need to detect gold to help find it. The GB will find real tiny gold. but you can also search y pumping the coil in all metal and read the feo3 reading to determine areas that are more likely to have acculuminations of black sand and gold.
This also can be done with the Whites gold master and I am told that there are other detectors that can also be used to find the better areas.
