If you were laundry customer 48, each of your garments had a 48 pin attached. Nice find.

They are laundy marking pins.
Horse blanket pins are not numbered. Why would they be? Im sure the larger ones got used for blankets but were made for laundry.
Many people call any large saftey pins horse blanket pins.
Here is the larger numbered one on ebay being called a blanket pin ..

But when you look up that clearly marked patent number, They are laundy pins.

The link in my other post shows many of them.

This pic below is a horse blanket pin.

Another use for them back in the day was to put them on the laundry bag that some public swimming pools used to store swimmers clothes in, that way our clothing wouldn

no patent number on them chief, would have made it easy I suppose if a number was on it. Says patent pending. share a little info without all the links. The site is

I can almost make out each of the numbers but not very good. I guess it must be Media-steampunk Jewelry cause it says so.

I can't think of a better reply than that, I bow to thee :please:

Most of us older folks are familiar with these check pins, they were mostly at public swimming pools and school and public gymnasiums. They can be used for anything.

Edit:
What we would do is put our belongings in a knitted laundry bag. Then we would give the laundry bag with our cloths and whatnot inside to the swimming pool attendant. The the attendant would one of 2 numbered check pins. Both check pins were marked with the same number as well as a cubby that the laundry bag was to be stored. One pin went on the laundry bag which would be placed in a cubby and the other check pin would be pinned to our swimming trunks. That way there was no need for a locker and our belonging were be safe and secure.

I think the horse blanket pins are larger and not marked with duplicate numbers. Example at this link:

wow, I tell ya taz you really got me  wonder what else Aaron is doing to ya while he is down there bowing:yikes:
maybe its not being done right, guess one might be a little ill

on that note, thanks Ant, that is what I was hoping for to begin with, older wiser knowledge

The first day you asked for an ID Taz replied with a short simple direct answer and then backed his answer with a patent of the ID. If you want to make everything perverted and reject direct, positive information when received, seek your pervertion elsewhere. I'm sure you have those websites bookmarked already, just don't keep picturing me on my knees. Taz is very good at researching ID's and providing information to back his answers for his suggestions. Its nice to get that kind of information, especially when you asked for it to begin with. Maybe next time we will all try much harder to help you since everyone failed you until Ant finally gave you the only helpful answer as far as you noticed.

shhhh arron grown folks are talking. Now back to taz, Taz I think where everything went crazy was you took what I said wrong, easy to be misunderstood typing, I mean heck If ya read back I told you thanks for your opinion. I even told you it wasnt that important to me and tried to call a truce in a joking way. I am through with it, now if it goes any further it won't be me taking the lead, but I will follow up. so with that being said, thanks once again for you opinion, I often find items I can't identify and others "try" there best to help. no one is always correct, heck I am often way off , that is why I post on this forum.
