What is this German item?

Recently found this medallion at an antique store. The owner did not have any information on this item but had it for several years. Has a diameter of 4 inches and a thickness of approximately half an inch. The material the item is made of is unclear but could be lead with silver plating. The medallion has writing that is "SA Berlin" and appears to be very old. Please help to identify this relic.

It could be a rally or sports device. Check with the place below:

It is a SA ( Sturmabteilung) sports medal from a SA competition in Berlin for the second winner of that competition. It is made from zinc. I can't see the year on the picture but maybe you can on the medal. The year is located just above the tip of the sword. Hope this information helps.

FschJg (Germany)

It was awarded at a local (Berlin) SA tournament but has nothing to do with the 1936 Olympics. I hope it was not sold to you as such.
