What is the sweep speed for the T-2 thank you hh

It helps to have it moving briskly. It doesn't need "whipped" back and forth, but keep it on the faster side.

For some comparison, my Time Ranger can be swung in a wide range of speeds from fast down to a crawl for pinpointing or on multiple targets.

When pinpointing or isolating individual targets on the T2, I found it helped to shorten the swing and keep it relatively fast paced.

Practice on a couple different items placed an inch or two apart and see what sort of swing it takes to pick each out individually.

The T2 is using a DD coil, which means it has a narrow detection window side to side. If you sweep fast all targets are going to sound bad and you will miss the deeper targets all together.

I find about 1-1/2 to 2' per second about right for the T2. Thats covering 2 feet while counting 'one-thousand-one'. Target separation will require you to slow down even more. Once you get a deeper signal, you can vary your sweep to see which brings out the signal better.

You can sweep faster, but then you have to slow down and double check all those trashy sounding audios because your fast sweep is causing much of that trash sound.

Much the same as any other DD coil.

Pineapple had said that he had found a way to move a little faster, but I don't recall at the moment what he said he was doing to allow that.

ojm, What Mike was referring to was in one of my earlier posts. I mentioned that I found I could sweep faster in the AM mode, than in Disc. With my unit I found that using three different sweep speeds works best for me. I always set up both my Disc and my AM settings first. I then will work in the AM simply because the VDI will remain on the screen slightly longer, it allows me to shoot deeper, and does a better job at shallow target identification. While in this mode I am sweeping at about 1sec per three ft span all the while watching the VDI on the screen closely. Once I have got a good hit I will slow that speed down some as well as the span to about half. As soon as I pick the target up again, I will switch back over to DISC till I am ready to pinpoint. In disc I cut the sweep speed to half again till I ready to pinpoint. Once I pinpoint it, I will once again switch back over to AM to validate. Sounds like this may be awkward but believe me it works great an provides me with a much higher find ratio. I'd have to agree with Mike in that this unit is super sensitive and if sweeping real fast you'll pick up so many different tones that it would make it extremely difficult to ascertain which of them is the real target. IMO the T2 is made to work slow and the only way I have found to work it faster is by working both the AM and Disc in conjunction with one another.
