Started something that has turned into fun. However, I am really curious how and why ML chose this as the name for the new beast. Now I wonder what CZ means too. Gheesh! Such a complicated world. Jim

I think it has something to do with the way the signal is sent ans received, something like the new Minelab GPX 4500 Gold Detector, theu call it SETA. Smart Electronic Timing Alignment, It helps with the tracking, and gives a more stable detector. You can read about on Minelabs site, just punch up Gold Detectors

Earth is a possibility, Companies like to use letters, sometimes they mean nothing.. at least we know XS stood for eXtra Sensitive..
CZ I am sure means nothing other than they liked they sound of it.. cant imagine what the Z would stand for..

Xterra, now terra means earth, so maybe the E is earth..

I think they wanted it to sound contemporary - like e-mail....since you can exchange patterns via e-mail and the web, having a "webbish" name was probably something the marketing folks thought was a good idea. I guess they could also have called it the i-Trac.
