What is the little silver thing......?

Spent a couple hours today before getting ready to go to my night job.
Didn't find much but I did find this silver looking thing that could be a battery but not sure.
It has something that looks like a way to attach a necklace. Maybe not.
ANy ideas? There was no writting on it of any kind.

Maybe part of a stud earring? The post is broken off annd maybe the part with holes held dangley thingies?

Looks like part of a ear ring, It looks like there are some kind of markings. Have you checked to see if its marked sterling or 925 for silver.
