If you remember back in the 1990's Compass did the same to the Pro series detectors. These units are a hard to beat on depth and trash area's. They still go for about half of the original sales price today when the can be found. I have 2 and I just love them.

I seen lots of Excal ll circuit boards never seen any shielding on them, who knows minelab might have forgot to install the shielding on the boards I seen
What minelab calls shielding is just that laughable green foiled un grounded decal, LMAO
