What is the difference between CZ's

What makes the difference between the CZ5 Los Banos and the other CZ5. The reason I ask is I just got a Los Banos CZ5 and it seems to out perform the other CZ5 I had. What makes the Los Banos detector so much better.

Apppears in many cases the Los Banos tuning is more precise equating to more depth...I say appears as I owned two CZ3D's from the old and new Fisher and both were equal. I guess the same can be said for Los Banos units also as have seen hot and cold ones so you be the judge and before buying one new or used would ask for an air test lest you get a cold one.....

I had an older Los Banos CZ-3D and a newer one made in El Paso. After Nasa Tom tuned the new El Paso CZ, it was the same as the Los Banos CZ. I would say there are many of variations in the CZ-3D according to electronic components used and the way it was tuned at the factory. Also, the CZ-3D uses analog technology. It would seem harder to get repeatability from analog components as opposed to more modern detectors that use all digital circuits.

All CZ-5's are Los Banos made unit's. The only CZ made at first Texas is the CZ-3D as the CZ-5 was discontinued before the buy out.
