What is the difference between a CZ7 a ..................

Hi Ivan,

I believe the only difference is that the CZ-7a did not have a control box that could be chest/belt mounted and on the CZ-7a Pro the control box could be chest/belt mounted. Well now that I think about it .... the CZ-7a has two battery compartments at the end of the shaft under the arm cup .... and I don't know how many and the location of the batteries on the CZ-7a Pro, so maybe they differ there a little as well. Dan could tell you for sure.

armrest and also, it had an "S" type upper rod similar to a CZ-5.

CZ7 was the first digital CZ made and was a rodmount only with 12 AA batteries under the armcup, good balance like the 1266...
CZ7A was an improved model that was still a rodmount only and improved the CZ7 as it had a faster pinpoint and didn't use batteries while turned off as its memory function was changed.
CZ7A pro was a rodmount and hipmount and used 2 nine volts in control box and had a pistol grip configuration not a a S configuration which the first two above mentioned were..
All basically tuned correctly were the same deptwise and workwise...
You might Google each individually and if you are lucky get a picture of each with their spec's...Any specific questions E-mail me at Detectdan@msn.com....as this is just a basic answer...
