WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 10"BBS COIL AND 10" TORNADO COIL ?

I replied on the other board, but I'm running a Tornado on the Excal 1000. Lighter, thinner, SLIGHTLY more sensitive, works well on the unit. Minelab harwired it onto the unit. I will probably convert the 800s eventually too, but would be nice to get it done on warranty, LOL! Not sure you can see it very well, but here is the rig.

Minelab also moved the lower rod mount ears a little closer to center of the coil giving it better balance. The Tornado coils are a nice improvement over the BBS coils.

Allow me to elighten you Gene....The yellow headphones are the stock Koss, modified by Minelab with the ikelite connection, which enables them to be removed, without losing the watertight integrity of the unit. The others are Gray Ghost Underwater Headphones, also fitted with the Ikelite connector. I MUCH prefer the Gray Ghost, for the more air tight fit(helps with wind noise), to make sure I hear everything. They are more comfortable and I sincerely believe I have an auditory edge using them, over the Koss. Now, in the event I have a failure, then I am able to quickly switch over to the Koss for back-up, where when it was hardwired, I was facing sending the unit back to the factory for repair, or if I was smart enough doing my own repair(SCARED-A-THAT). Savvy?
