What is the diff.between the old style excal.& the new style?

Knobs on the early unit are better, mounting brackets are different early unit has the hot Seasearch Coil, S pole is a little different headphones are different, a very good friend of mine used to be the Minelab Dist for the US, I picked up a original Excal from her last month and it is pretty hot. She said they used to check the boards and pick out ones that were hotter... I think at that time they were assembling some in Henderson, anyway I have the one she picked out for herself and it has not been used ....Geo

I have a newer one... Yikes From 1996 ten years old and it bangs out GOLD like no other water Machine I have had. Funny Minelab has never changed anything about the Excalibur. I guess when you have one of the best water metal detectors out there you just keep what works.
Love the discrimination on it
Only difference is the coil size and the old style had a horseshoe shaped coil
