Does the old stock dfx , (it has DFX on the coil) have any benefit over the newer coils. Does it pay to get it? I have 950, 5.3, 10"DD, 300/12", bigfoot, I have dfx spectrum e and dfx300.
Thanks

The only difference between the old 950 coil (flat coil) and the newer eclipse 950 coil is that the new coil can be repaired if there is a problem with it. The older coil cannot be repaired. The older DFX coil is the same as any 950 coil as used on the M6, MXT or DFX. They are all eclipse 950 coils with different decals on them. If you don't have any problems with your older, flat DFX 950 coil then a new DFX or Eclipse 950 coil will not make any difference.

Thanks for fastest reply. I have the newest 950 eclipse which Whites gave me when I sent my md in for service. I just wanted to know if I came across an old dfx coil... no. I gather I am better off saving the $50
