What is the Deepest Memorial You Ever Found?

Bet you were pi$$ed off when you saw it too!!

I dug one at 8-9 inches yesterday... Was sure it would be an IH or at least a really old wheat. So frustrating and disappointing! Someone must have dropped some new dirt in the area where I was. Wish they would scrape it off rather than drop it down! LOL!

So how deep have you seen em?

Mine was around the 7 inch mark. How about hitting Memorials @ 12/45 12/46? That will tick you off as well. :ranting:

GateKeeper, are you sure that there was not more left in the hole? LOL.

Positive. Actually this is happening alot with my hunting buddies machine. It's driving him nut's. When I've scanned
the target, the target hit's lower. I finally talked him into sending it back to Minelab to check it out.

Nearly 10 inches with the CTX. It was a 1968 too. I am sure dirt moving was to blame!

Just yesterday as a matter of fact. 8" reading 12:35. Thought for sure it would be an Indian. As far as memorials running hot, I've noticed that all of them from 1982 and before ring in just like wheats and dimes.

7 inches for me.Mine does the same thing. It jumps from 12/44 to 12/46. I also think I'm starting to lose depth.

Happened to me today at my In-Laws, 12-46 at 10inches got me all excited, dang thing was a 1982 Memorial. That yard has not had any work, moving dirt or plantings since the late 70s, how that baby got so deep is beyond me.

Some kid probably buried it! LOL!

BTW, pics in your email...

I remember mine, dug it about 3 or 4 years ago with with a Explorer II or Etrac.. It was on top of a hill next to a tree in a old chautauqua park... It was in the 12-13" range and my deepest coin ever...I remember it well because it was in the middle of a poison ivy patch and it took about a month to get rid of the effects... I pay closer attention to those vines these days..wildherre

8-9" and I have had several memorials ring in 12 43/44 .

correction I just saw what I typed I should say 12/44 -12/46 not the 12/41 12/43
