What is the CZ20 repair when...

the pinpoint button stays stuck ? I know if you send it in now they convert them to the 21 but what was the fix before they converted them? Did they just replace the switch? My friend has one with this problem and was quoted a fairly hefty sum to repair, I dont know by whom but it was a few hundred bucks. Has anyone repaired their own by replacing the switch or eliminating it from the cicuit. If so, do you have a recommended procedure, part numbers, seal numbers, etc? Thanks for any help

Indeed seems to be a problem along this line with many CZ20 users and yep quite expensive if button goes...Many knowing this just don't use the button but pinpoint by crisscrossing target in regular mode..Perhaps some knowlegable individual can chime in and help as knowing our fellows imagine where there is a will there is a way...

I would recommend the upgraded front end, the newer PP button is preferable to the old. But my experience with FT service was terrible on my CZ20. A lot of others though have said they got good service results. Yes, it's a hefty sum and the age of the machine should be taken into account.

One option that Mike Scott had posted a while back that First Texas would do at the time he posted, was to remove the switch and seal the hole. That is how my CZ-20 is and I have not had any problems with it.

Call the factory and ask if they will do that (and no other upgrades) and how much.

If they aren't doing that option any more, PM me with an e-mail address where I can send you some information.
