What is the best way to mount a CZ (Hip, Shoulder or Pole Mount?)

Some think the CZ is heavy and not good ergonomically(not so with CZ7 and CZ7A which are pole mount only) so they hip mount which comes with any other model land CZ.
Never heard of a shulder mount but Fisher does sell chestmounts which many prefer. All a matter of preference I would think..

Dan is right about personal preference. I have some friends who hip mount on a web belt and swear by it. I tried that and felt like it pinched when I went to dig and didn't like reaching across to adjust. I got the chest harness and hunt that way with the big coil. If I have the 5 inch coil on, I pole mount. Just may have to try a way and see how it works.

Friends say they go to army surplus types of stores for a web belt. I got shoulder harness from a dealer advertising on-line. Got the part number from the fisher site and then googled the part number to price compare.

gets control out of water, which makes it much easier to swing coil! if you leave control on shaft its like stroking a canoe paddle all day long.

heres a picture.

hope this helps.

Have a CZ-7a pro with a large coil and used to pole mount. It took a toll on my arms (would have to switch arms too). Started using the Fisher chest harness. Could hunt hours longer as stress on arm reduced. Also use the detector to hunt in the Surf, so the control box (which I have covered too) is further from the water. Couldn't go back to pole mounting it.

I was looking at the Fisher web page today and they seem to have lost the link to the accessories.
The chest harness part number is 2029101. Best recent price I saw was about $22 plus shipping of about $5.

Fisher does make a nice chestmount and of course all land CZ's have a beltmount. Matter of preference I would say just like many rod mount and are comfortable..Guess its what you are comfortable with but its nice to have 3 options...Good luck in your choice and for those that rodmount takes a bit to get used to a chest or hipmount which many use when using a larger coil..

Guys, there is also another option!! The Swingy-Thingy Harness made by COILTEK, sells for $29.95,plus $5 shipping. You can use this harness with ANY ROUND
SHAFT Detector from any manufacturer. This harness was designed to be used with the MINELAB EXPLORERS, and then they made a round shaft J-Hook version
for all round shaft detectors. SERIOUSLY, look into this, as it is VERY COMFOFTABLE, and has a quick-release adjustment for Detecting HILLSIDES. Go to the
MINELAB Forums, and click on DOC'S COILTEK, he is a forum sponsor, and his regular delivery from Las Vegas, Nev. was Very Quick. Hope this helps, hh, Les Robinson
