What is the best tesoro for salt water beaches?

Wet sand or dry? For wet, the Tiger Shark. For dry, any Tesoro will
work fairly well, but I'd opt for the Vaquero. The Tiger is of course
an underwater unit with a disc. mode for dry land. The other unit
would be the pulse type Sand Shark, no discrimination.
The Tiger is VLF, but uses different circuitry from regular VLF's,
enabling it(in salt mode) to be adjusted more efficiently to the
capacitance effect of wet salt. It's a little heavier(4 lbs.+) than the
lighter umax Tesoros but will be more productive. Wet salt beaches
are problematic for all VLF's in all brands. They can be adjusted
with the GB & sensitivity controls if so equipped.

I would NOT go with the Tiger Shark for salt water, I have one, took it to Destin, and in the salt water I couldn't pick up a coin 4" off of the coil. Yes it was in salt mode, and yes I properly ground balanced it. If you want a Tesoro, get the Sand Shark, it is a PI machine, and for the most part is un-effected by the salt content in the water. For anyone looking for a FRESH WATER machine, the Tiger is awesome.
