i own a ace 250. it's great on beachs . however i feel that it's missing a lot of targets. i have found that if it beeps i dig ,noty worrying about what it could be.the machine is american, their coins are not our coins.why can't we have a machine that registers our stuff and not theirs.i live in australia. blowfly.

sense you are using an Ace 250 and doing OK.

If you are talking about salt water Whites, Garrett and Minlab have

good offerings, but if you are talking about fresh water, it's different.

If so, most Tesoro's will work fine and won't just get you US coins.

If you have mild ground conditions the Cibola will work fine.

If you have some more challenging conditions, a Vaquero will work better.

Once you experience the fast recovery and quick responses, you'll wonder

why you didn't try it sooner. They are a great change form the confusing

beep one foot or so from the target. The response is so fast, you don't even

need the all metal to pin point. The all metal becomes a search mode.

The single tone analog responses talk to you in a way that can not be

matched by most TID machines. The analog discriminator is wonderful.

If money is a problem and you don't need more depth, the Compadre

can handle bad ground conditions, and the discriminator is second to none.

It has the best tone of anything I have ever seen. It can detune itself with no

equal. Fastest recovery and super fast response along with a true ED-180

discriminator make this unit one of the best trash handling machines

regardless of price.

These machines are so good they make it seem like there is something wrong

with a perfectly good Ace 250.

These machines can be even more affective if you have a set of Killer B's or

equal quality headphones. The tone can tell you far more than any clunky old TID.

HH,

Minelabs are from Australia, perhaps they show your coins vs U.S. coins ?

If you used a MD that gives a numeric TID (the ACE does not), it really doesn't matter where your located, you'll learn what your local coin #'s are on the TID after doing an airtest. Something like the Fisher F2 (same price as the ACE250) would be a better choice for you (and it's a better detector too).
